Peter Lecoq’s Latest Contribution: Spitfire 944

A wonderful story…

RCAF No. 403 Squadron

Great viewing!

A FEEL GOOD STORY OF AN AMERICAN PILOT FLYING PHOTO RECON MISSIONS IN A SPITFIRE WITH AMERICAN MARKINGS DURING WW II, ALL THE WAY TO BERLIN AND BACK WITH LONG RANGE FUEL TANKS IN THE WINGS.

8 mm footage recovered 50 years later and converted to modern media by the photographers grandchildren and presented to the Spitfire pilot in the film.

  1. Thank you Pierre. This is a wonderful and most interesting story. Truly good to see the look and reaction of this man when he sees the footage of his belly landing and having a quick nervous smoke. We (Canada, USA and all Allied nations) are fortunate that men of this calibre (integrity, honour, honesty and profound courage) fought for our freedom and future(s).
