  1. This was a wonderful article. In my father’s memoirs, he writes:
    [In 1940] I had permission from a farmer near Aldershot to leave the Wolseley Hornet in a corner of one of his rough pasture fields. She was jacked up with her axles supported on four piles of bricks and when we came to reclaim her after the War she was gone and even the bricks had vanished too.
